Position Title : Manager Shared Services

Location : Alpharetta, GA

Description :

The Manager Shared Services supports and oversees accounting services with the related accounting and controls for our North America locations; the responsibilities include assigned global based services with a focus on the Accounts Payable, Travel Expense and Accounts Receivable processes. The role understands the intricacies of accounts payable, travel expense, purchasing / receiving, accounts receivable billing and cash application systems and their related interaction with the general ledger system; optimizes internal controls and drives process improvements by challenging current processes and implementing best practices. The role interacts and coordinates effectively with cross functional teams, including Procurement, Customer Service, Business Operations, Tax, Treasury, General Accounting, and Internal / External Auditors. The role requires a proactive mindset and high level of energy to dive in and understand the function and processes and provide hands on optimized execution. The individual should possess an analytical mindset to create and pursue process improvements, enhance the operational capabilities of the function, and lead / participate in related projects to improve processes that support global objectives.

responsibilities :

• Manage and perform shared services functions including accounts payable, travel expense reporting, accounts receivable and other assigned functions in compliance with company policies and internal controls.
• Develop, provide and analyze key performance indicators (KPI's) that drive continuous improvement; perform root cause analysis to identify process inefficiencies and automation opportunities facilitating operational excellence while ensuring adherence to controls.
• Partner with cross-functional teams including Procurement, Customer Service, Business Operations, Tax, Treasury and General Accounting to resolve issues, optimize end to end processes, and identify when additional training is needed to meet responsibilities and comply with company policies.
• Provide consistent high level of customer service to internal and external customers including timely communication and problem resolution.
• Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable monthly closing activities in compliance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles with responsibilities for accruals, 1099 reporting, and other regulatory filings.
• Serve as subject matter expert for the accounts payable automation platform, Concur Travel and Expense and Corporate Credit Card programs.
• Administer the corporate credit card program including providing support to end users and partnering with Treasury in issuance of credit cards and updates / changes to credit card program.
• Ensure adherence to application security procedures including systems access, authority limits, and change control guidelines for system responsibilities assigned.
• Maintain financial security by establishing and enforcing internal controls compliance and protect organization's value by keeping information confidential; refine policies and procedures to address customer needs and efficiency.
• Support preparing and providing deliverables to internal and external auditors including meeting Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and corporate requests.
• Ensure compliance with tax related guidelines and requirements; provide financial reporting support to Tax team and support preparation of business tax returns.
• Develop and coach business services team.
• Maintain historical records in accordance with the Company's Corporate Record Retention Policy, while ensuring critical documents are maintained appropriately to support financial reporting, tax audit and other needs.
