Essential Responsibilities :
- Provide direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk patients. Deliver care aligned with established standards and guidelines.
- Respond promptly to telephone inquiries, triaging calls appropriately while offering reassurance, clear instructions, and education to patients.
- Facilitate efficient healthcare delivery during patient visits by preparing patients for examinations, obtaining vital signs and medical histories, and documenting findings accurately in electronic medical records.
- Observe and report abnormal patient signs to physicians, ensuring thorough documentation and patient understanding of discharge instructions.
- Assist physicians with testing, treatments, minor surgeries, and physical exams, including applying splints and dressings, managing sample medications, and coordinating referrals and patient testing.
- Perform laboratory tests as prescribed and maintain laboratory logs.
- Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, organizing patient education materials, ensuring cleanliness, and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned to support clinical operations.
Education and Experience Required :
Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Program.This position offers a day shift schedule with a 40-hour workweek, serving patients in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest.
