JOB DESCRIPTION Job Description
CNC Machine Operator for a well established local company. Entry level applicants considered.
As a CNC Machinist, you will produce machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine, or by setting up and operating a manual machine.
Your specific duties in this role will include :
- Planning machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, and other resources, and interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)
- Verifying machine settings by measuring positions and making first-run parts, and sample work pieces including but not limited to calipers, micrometer and height gage.
- Adhering to international standards
- Maintaining specifications and adjusting and reprogramming controls
- Sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes
- Maintaining safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
- Maintaining equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, troubleshooting malfunctions and requisitioning repairs
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area
- Keen eye for detail a must
