Licensed Psychologist

Position Overview : MMHC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Licensed Psychologist to join our team as an assessment-focused psychologist. This role involves conducting psychological assessments, collaborating with clients to understand their unique needs, and integrating testing results into effective treatment plans. You will focus on providing a holistic experience to clients who need psychological evaluations, ensuring accessibility and thoroughness throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide assessments via telehealth and / or in person to adults.
• Perform psychological work involving the examination, classification, and diagnosis of clients, including diagnostic clinical interviews and the selection, administration, scoring, and interpretation of a wide range of psychological, intelligence, personality, and specialized assessments for clients of varying age ranges.
• Collaborate with clients to ensure a personalized testing experience that leverages their self-knowledge and the clinician's expertise. Clarifying common language as needed.
• Approach diagnosis holistically, considering the client's entire life context, including normative human experiences and the impact of various life circumstances.
• Provide clear and understandable explanations of assessment results to clients, ensuring they are informed and engaged in their care.
• Establish a practice that allows for follow-up sessions to help clients understand treatment recommendations, support initial intervention steps, and facilitate a warm transfer to longer-term providers, integrating assessment results into comprehensive treatment planning.
• Contribute to developing best practices and new approaches to psychological assessment, making assessments affordable and accessible.
• Complete documentation with a focus on quality and compliance, in a timely manner.
• Maintain Continuing Education requirements and maintain licensure in good standing.
• Engage in peer consultation as a collaborative element of the testing process.
