Tax Accounting Senior

Salary Range : $85,000-$120,000

The Tax Accounting Senior will join a collaborative and high-performing family office investment team, supporting tax compliance and reporting across 40+ entities. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented tax professional looking to expand technical expertise in a multi-entity environment while working closely with experienced mentors and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

The Tax Accounting Senior will manage incoming tax compliance documents and maintain organized checklists across 40+ entities.

Review, analyze, and reconcile tax materials for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.

Prepare extensions, estimated payments, and income tax provisions for corporate, partnership, nonprofit, and individual filings.

The Tax Accounting Senior will assist with year-end close workpapers, including book-to-tax reconciliations and journal entries.

Support foreign financial reporting, including FINCEN disclosures and other required filings.

Coordinate with external advisors-providing documentation, reviewing prepared returns, and ensuring accuracy.

Conduct targeted tax research across federal, state, estate, and employment tax topics.

The Tax Accounting Senior will assist in tax-related analysis for new investments and calculate after-tax investment performance.

Identify process improvements to streamline compliance workflows and data management.

Participate in tax audits and support additional accounting and operational projects as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's preferred

CPA required

3+ years of experience in tax accounting, public accounting, or tax compliance

Strong understanding of tax principles for corporations, partnerships, and trusts

Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting and document management software

Excellent organization, communication, and analytical skills

The Tax Accounting Senior should demonstrate strong judgment, dependability, and initiative in a team-oriented setting
