American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a float position in the East Valley requiring at least 2 years of recent ED experience and an active AZ or compact RN license.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in East Valley emergency room settings across multiple satellite locationsAcute care environment with a 4 : 1 patient-to-nurse ratioNight shift, 12-hour shifts, with every other weekend requiredFloat to multiple ER campuses in the region; schedule provided in advanceUse of Cerner EMR and T-System chartingWill be one of only two RNs on staff at satellite locationsER staff are responsible for lab drawsVents are vent capableGalaxy blue scrubs requiredRole includes performing ER nursing duties across multiple campuses with support from core staffThere is no IV team; nurses are responsible for all IV startsHoliday coverage is required as needed and no time off will be approved for holidaysOrientation includes floor-specific training and educational modules on lifts, restraints, and wound careFirst-day skills evaluation is pass / fail and maintaining sterile technique is essentialPosition does not accept pending licenses or certifications\n \n Requirements\n
Active AZ RN or compact state license required at time of considerationMinimum of 2 years recent Emergency Room nursing experienceCertifications required : BLS, ACLS, and COVID vaccination (declinations accepted for medical / religious reasons); TNCC preferredMust pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start (two attempts maximum)Must successfully complete a pass / fail SIM lab on Day 1 of orientation, including Foley catheter insertion and sterile techniqueMust provide two references : one from a supervisor within the last 12 months and one additional from a recent supervisor or peer within 3 yearsMust not have been employed by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity in the past yearMust reside at least 50 miles from the facility if located in AZ, NV, NE, IA, or MN\n Benefits\n
