779115 Facilities Support Specialist - Contract Opportunity

Location : Dept of Public Health, 250 Washington St, Boston

Job Type : Contract | Full-Time | Onsite

Sigma Systems Inc. is seeking a Facilities Support Specialist to join our client's team. This role is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented professional who can handle physical tasks, coordinate office moves, and provide day-to-day facilities and equipment support in a corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Support a major office relocation , including moving and rearranging office furniture and equipment.
  • Maintain organized inventory of office equipment and supplies.
  • Troubleshoot facilities-related issues and coordinate with managers to communicate and track necessary repairs.
  • Serve as a liaison with vendors and building services to ensure timely repair and maintenance.
  • Provide technical support including :

Troubleshooting common printer errors.

  • Replacing cartridges and coordinating service requests.
  • Assisting with desktop / laptop setup and minor IT-related issues.
  • Use Excel spreadsheets to track equipment, repairs, and facilities projects.
  • Participate in online meetings and respond to emails in a timely and professional manner.

    • Requirements :

  • Previous facilities or office move coordination experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs regularly.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and basic troubleshooting for office equipment.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to take initiative in a dynamic work environment.
