Job Brief
Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Die Maintenance Technician for our client. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, programming and operating CNC machines, and supporting automation systems to ensure efficient manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with PLCs, VFDs, and CNC controls, particularly Siemens and Fanuc.
What’s a Typical Day Like?
- Strong ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical problems
- Program and operate CNC machines, including those with Siemens and Fanuc controls, to produce precision parts.
- Develop, test, and maintain PLC programs to ensure efficient operation of manufacturing equipment.
- Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to enhance productivity and product quality.
- Troubleshoot and repair Servo motion controls systems, VFD
- Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of VFDs to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot machine issues effectively and accurately; mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and / or programming
- Perform a complete onsite customer machine installation and start up
- Provide technical support to production staff on the use and maintenance of PLCs, VFDs, and CNC machines
What Are the Requirements of the Job?
2+ years of experience with automated machineryMinimum 2-year technology or electronics degreeAbility to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematicsAbility to perform wiring of machine componentsAbility to understand and navigate through our and servo motor drive control softwareAbility to work all levels of electrical voltage; single and three phaseAbility to read customer supplied fabrication drawings to ensure our equipment works within specified parametersAbility to train operators and maintenance personnel on machine operations, troubleshooting and preventive maintenanceAbility to work with little or no supervisionAbility to effectively communicate in writing using written text, mechanical and electrical drawings, diagrams, and machine schematics to describe a problem or suggested improvementsAbility to comprehend and demonstrate mechanical assembly and troubleshooting techniquesAbility to perform manual assembly of basic machine components and or subassembliesSiemens, Fanuc CNC / PLC experience to include programming a big plusOccasionally perform other duties outside the service department as neededKnowledge of PLC programmingAbility to work in fast-paced environment.Ability to move or lift to 50lbs.Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.Ability to utilize hand / eye coordination.Capability to stand for prolonged periods of timeCommunication skills.How to Apply And Next Steps?
