Descripción del trabajoProvide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a government location. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism in all interactions. Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas, checking identification and / or authorization as required by site policies. Document occurrences and report security-related incidents or issues to the appropriate Allied Universal and / or client personnel. Assist in emergency situations by following established protocols and providing guidance to visitors and staff as needed. Maintain a visible presence while on patrol to help to deter disruptive or criminal behavior within the location. Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree. Have supervisory experience in a security-related, law enforcement, or military role. Have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of experience as a security-related supervisor or manager or 3 or more years of security-related experience. Hold a Level III armed certification for Texas roles. Hold a valid CPR certification, preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only. Security Officer Armed Government Patrol
As a Security Officer Armed Government Patrol in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.
As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and fostering a secure atmosphere in a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and assisting with any security-related needs to support those on site. Job Schedule :
Day Time Wed 07 : 00 AM - 05 : 00 PM
Thur 07 : 00 AM - 05 : 00 PM
Fri 07 : 00 AM - 05 : 00 PM
Sat 07 : 00 AM - 05 : 00 PM
What You'll Do :
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
