Position Summary :
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the medical office will provide both direct and indirect nursing care to patients, adhering to established standards and practices. You will be a key liaison between patients and healthcare providers. This role involves handling both clinical and administrative responsibilities with a strong emphasis on accuracy, professional etiquette, and exceptional customer service.
Education / Certification :
Graduate of an accredited LPN program.Current licensure in the state of Connecticut.Maintains clinical competency required for the assignment, including Basic Cardiac Life Support.Experience :
1 year of experience working in a medical facility.Familiarity with computer scheduling systems such as Meditech and Ntierprise is preferred.Competencies :
Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.Basic computer proficiency.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced medical environment while maintaining confidentiality.Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.Knowledge of safety protocols in a healthcare setting.Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Provide general nursing care, including administering medications, vaccinations, and treatments.Prepare equipment and support physicians during examinations and procedures.Record and report patients' conditions and responses to treatments.Educate patients and families on procedures, medications, and wellness.Respond to emergency situations with calm and efficiency.Document medication dispensation in patient records.Maintain inventory of medical supplies and assist with requisitions.Support physicians during office surgical procedures and prepare specimens for lab testing.Manage incoming patient inquiries related to treatment.Oversee vaccination programs in line with State guidelines.Help maintain organized and compliant patient records.Stay current with HIPPA guidelines and uphold patient confidentiality.You may be called upon to perform additional duties as assigned by Management.
