This role provides federal tax compliance and consulting services to large middle market and public companies. A Tax Senior Manager works closely with firm leadership and plays a key role in business development, firm administration activities, and development / management of teams.
Position Profile
Weaver is a full-service national accounting, advisory and consulting firm. A Commercial Tax Senior Manager joins our growing practice to help deliver exceptional client service and lead teams across various industries.
Responsibilities
Provide federal tax compliance and consulting services for large middle market and public companies.
Work closely with firm leadership and contribute to business development initiatives.
Assist in firm administration activities and mentor / lead teams.
Engage in proposal activities and expand services for existing clients as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
Master’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
CPA with 7+ years of experience in federal tax compliance, planning and consulting at a public accounting firm, focusing on consolidated corporations, multi-state businesses, private equity backed clients, large businesses and partnerships
Technical knowledge to sell and execute engagements across industries, with focus in Manufacturing & Distribution, Technology, HealthCare, Professional Services, and / or Construction
Proven ability to build, manage, mentor and develop staff
Strong relationship management and practice development skills
Passionate client service and ability to attract and service new clients (involvement in proposals and business development)
Compensation and Benefits
At Weaver, our most valuable resource is our people. The compensation range for this position is approximately $141,000 to $290,000 in the California, Maryland, New Jersey, and New York Metropolitan areas. Actual compensation will be based on experience, skills, certifications, and location. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan.
