QA Analyst (Onsite | California, US)

Job Position : QA Analyst

(California, US-based)

We are looking for a QA Analyst who is a self-starter and can perform and execute a diverse list of duties within the evolving quality assurance landscape. The QA Analyst contributes to the software and content quality of software development projects of entertainment services and takes part in the product development of the Core Services across the client's products, ensuring the goals and objectives of each delivery are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and budget requirements with high quality.

This role will be responsible for overseeing the production quality of multiple parallel projects covering both front-end and back-end developments. The QA Analyst will report to the Senior QA Manager of New Media Technology.

This position will be on-site with our client, Sony Pictures Entertainment, and will report directly to the client regarding the project.

Job Responsibilities

• Involved in early discussion / scope definition for new functionalities and features
• Analyze different user cases and scenarios to come up with test cases
• Write workflow test cases to extensively test functions and features
• Execute test cases thoroughly and provide testing proof for new functions
• Perform testing on different platforms and operating systems
• Report issues and bugs with details to the engineers
• Triage bugs and issues based on project knowledge
• Reproduce and report issues reported by others
• Work with other team members on the same project, including the third-party consulting firm's resources
• Escalate blocks, concerns, and critical issues to Management
• Report testing progress and defect status to Management
• Help maintain high-quality video services
• Help ensure the timely delivery of milestones while safeguarding the quality of work in accordance with the pre-defined project schedule
• Assist in customer service in validating issues and tracking solutions
