Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides individualized nursing care to residents by employing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes / planning, implementation, and evaluation). In collaboration with residents, families, and other interdisciplinary team members, including providers, the RN plans, implements, and evaluates resident care. This role encompasses caring for residents across all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment.

The RN may serve as a charge nurse and is responsible for delegating tasks appropriately to licensed and unlicensed personnel, ensuring the safety and reliability of care provided. The RN maintains compliance with the Nurse Practice Act and associated administrative rules and demonstrates competency in nursing practices relevant to their clinical setting.

Qualifications

Candidates should be graduates from a nationally accredited nursing program, with a preference for those holding a Bachelor’s Degree in nursing. Current, unencumbered RN licensure from the State Board of Nursing in the relevant state is required. Multistate licensure may be needed if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. Ongoing maintenance of required competencies and certifications is expected.
