Position Summary
This position is responsible for the overall administration, management, planning, directing and coordinating of governance matters and supporting the work of the PEC Board of Directors. The position is also responsible for overseeing and managing a team of executive assistants who support Senior Leadership at PEC. The role is crucial to ensuring a high level of collaboration and support of multiple cooperative functions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Governance
Maintain detailed understanding of legal and other compliance requirements, including those under PEC bylaws, tariff, policies and other corporate governance documentsIn coordination with the Legal and Compliance departments, maintain and prepare corporate documentsSupervise the work of governance employees to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines and proper procedures, correcting errors or problemsProvide employees with guidance in handling difficult or complex problems and in resolving escalated complaints or disputesMaintain superior relations with all levels of clients, including Board of Directors, Members, management and staffOversee planning and creation of meeting agendas and material preparation for Board of Directors' meetingsProvide long range planning for Board of Directors policy development, including strategic topics and sequencingIdentify and monitor completion of Board of Director requestsSupervise the administration of the PEC open records programManage Board of Director's elections, including delivery of uniform, impartial and fair administration, coordination of cross-functional teams, supervising member engagement, educational communications, and contacts, and oversight of election services providerExecutive Support
Supervise and manage the executive assistants(EAs) that support the PEC Senior Leadership Team, ensuring smooth daily operations and that a high-level of administrative support is providedSet clear performance goals and expectations for EAs and provide regular feedbackFoster collaborative communication among the EAsConduct regular meetings to discuss : weekly calendars, schedules, events, challenges, share best practices, and facilitate team developmentCollaborate with executives to determine needs and find ways to enhance EA supportIdentify opportunities for professional developmentMaintain, identify and lead technology solutions in coordination with the IT Department to optimize functionality and efficiencyImplement corporate and departmental policies, procedures and service standards in conjunction with managementDevelop and maintain high standards for all tasks, ensuring accuracy and consistencyEnsure compliance with organization policies and proceduresProvide guidance and support for complex tasksMaintain the security of confidential informationStay abreast of advances in technologyDemonstrate regular and prompt attendancePerform other related duties as necessary or assignedSupervisory and / or Leadership Responsibilities
A full range of supervisory activities, training, evaluation, counseling and recommendation for termination. This includes, but is not limited to, effectively communicating organizational policies and other information to subordinates, ensuring that employees have a clear understanding of their responsibilities
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Bachelor's DegreeDirectly related experience may substitute for educationFive years of Corporate Governance experienceThree to five years of supervisory experience, including three of years of direct supervisory experience (preference for supervision of administrative professionals)Valid Driver's LicensePhysical Demands and Work Environment
