About The Position

Job Title : Interventional Radiology Technologist

Profession : Radiology / Cardiology

Specialty : Interventional Radiology

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day

Hours per Shift : 8 hours (08 : 00 - 16 : 30)

Experience : Minimum 2 years in Interventional Radiology

License : Must have state license in hand or pending application

Certifications : ARRT R, MD State License required; ARRT VI preferred

Must-Have :

Interventional Radiology skills

Experience with Special Procedures

Ability to perform Angioplasty

Competence in Inferior Vena Cava (IVC) filter placement and removal

Skilled in Fluoroscopy

Description :

The role requires an Interventional Radiology Technologist with a minimum of two years of experience.

The candidate will assist in various interventional radiology procedures.

Skills required include maintaining a sterile field and applying sterile technique.

The technologist will need to prep access sites and scrub for procedures.

Familiarity with charting in Cerner is important.

Call duties are required as part of this position.

Preferred skills include Adrenal Angiography, Aortography, and Chemoembolization.

Additional competencies in Chest Tube Placement, Embolization, and Endograft placement are beneficial.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Liver Biopsy, Mesenteric Angiograms, and Paracentesis.

Experience with Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) of the liver and TIPS procedures is a plus.

Candidates should have knowledge of central venous access techniques.

The position requires effective communication and teamwork skills.
