Shelby Communications, LLC is looking to hire a Lead Technician & Technician to expand our Team.

Lead Technician Requirements :

Field Experience Required :

Telecommunications Background

5-6 Years Cabling Experience (Required)

3-4 Years Fiber Experience (Required)

Knowledge of the equipment and tools used in structured cabling

Ability to climb ladders and operate Boom & Scissor lifts

Able to Read Blueprints

Able to interrupt floor plans

MUST have Truck or SUV to carry Ladders & Materials

MUST be able to pass a background check (No Felonies)

MUST pass pre-employment drug screen

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Install all cabling standards in ceiling, conduits and raised floors; routes cable within walls and modular furniture

Build closets (Mount and install backboards, racks, patch panels, fiber optic Build Racks, Punch down closets and neatly dressed with no divers.

Lead Tech Responsibilities :

Working with Project Management to schedule / update / complete projects

Responsible for motivating and dictating job duties to all technicians on the jobsite

Train entry-level technicians, new and current technicians

QC each technician working under them for each assigned job

Certify all cabling once installed

Technician Requirements :

Field Experience REQUIRED :

Telecommunications Background

2-3 Years Cabling Experience

1-3 Years Fiber Experience

Must have basic hand tools (snipes, screwdrivers, tape measure, level etc.

Must have reliable transportation

MUST be able to pass a background check (No Felonies)

MUST be able to pass pre-employment drug screen

Ability to climb ladders

Able to Read Blueprints

Technician Responsibilities :

Work closely with Lead technicians

Install cabling in ceiling, conduits and raised floors; routes cable within walls and modular furniture

Build closets (Mount and install backboards, cross connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optic and hardware) Build Racks, Punch down closets and neatly dress
