About the Position

Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer / Echo Technologist to join our team. This role requires an experienced professional with a strong background in pediatric echocardiography. The technologist will perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures exclusively on pediatric patients, ensuring the highest level of image quality and patient care.

Key Responsibilities :

Perform pediatric echocardiograms, including 2D, M-mode, color Doppler, and spectral Doppler imaging, following established protocols and physician orders.

Collaborate with pediatric cardiologists and clinical staff to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning by providing high-quality diagnostic images.

Prepare patients and families by explaining procedures, ensuring comfort, and maintaining a child-friendly environment throughout the exam.

Maintain accurate records and enter detailed findings into the electronic medical record (EMR) system in accordance with departmental and regulatory guidelines.

Ensure proper maintenance and functioning of ultrasound equipment, reporting any malfunctions and assisting with quality assurance procedures.

Job Requirements

Qualifications :

Minimum 1 years of pediatric echocardiography experience required.

Must be a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).

BLS certification required.

Strong understanding of pediatric cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and congenital heart defects.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with children and families.
