Position Overview

The Senior Contract Analyst is responsible for analyzing contract terms and providing risk mitigation. This role collaborates with internal and external business partners to ensure projects are successfully completed. The Senior Contract Analyst regularly communicates and works closely with Legal, Procurement, and Finance teams to negotiate contracts and ensure contract terms fit business requirements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare, redline, and manage contracts including professional service agreements, statements of work, amendments, NDAs, software and hardware licenses, and other related legal agreements.
  • Minimize potential exposure and provide an appropriate level of risk mitigation.
  • Analyze and redline contract terms and add any special provisions, terms, and conditions to the contract.
  • Ensure contract terms fit business requirements and comply with internal policies, guidelines, and industry laws and regulations.
  • Assist with contract compliance strategy and work cross functionally with Legal, key stakeholders, and business units to drive process improvement.
  • Assist in preparing and negotiating various contracts working in conjunction with the Procurement sourcing team.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders across Legal, Procurement, Finance, Tax, and Accounting to ensure successful completion of projects and deals.
  • Assist with drafting, maintaining, and updating all contract templates.
  • Create language standards for existing and new contracts.
  • Participate in other projects as required.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Paralegal certificate, preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in contract management; reviewing, editing, and drafting contract terms and conditions.
  • Experience in negotiation strategies, procedures, procurement, and contract management systems.
  • Experience with high dollar and complex RFPs.
  • Experience influencing and managing contract strategy.
  • Mortgage industry experience, preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization skills, and efficiency in task execution.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
