Industrial Application Engineer

Title : Controls Engineer

Location : Houston, TX (on-site) Relocation Package

Salary : $120,000 -$150,000 + annual bonus

Requirements : Strong Electrical background; power generation, control systems, VFD systems

What You Will Be Doing

We're hiring an experienced Application Engineer to act as a key technical and commercial link between customers, vendors, and internal teams. This role combines expertise in power generation, controls, and distribution systems with strong communication and business insight. Responsibilities include developing proposals, engineering tailored solutions, and guiding clients with strategic technical support. Ideal candidates will have a proven ability to turn complex requirements into practical, cost-effective solutions that drive growth.

What You Need for this Position

• 5-7+ years of experience in the Industrial / Power Industry
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical background
• Strong foundation in VFD systems, motor control, and industrial power distribution
• Proficiency with VFD drives, soft starters, MCCs, PLCs, and SCADA systems
• Familiarity with NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, and IEC standards
• Experience with SCR drives, generator controls, switchgear, and medium-voltage equipment
• Background working across multiple industrial sectors (e.g., oil & gas, water / wastewater, mining, etc.)
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and develop system specifications
• Able to travel up to 20%, when needed.
