Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring a VA or compact RN license and EPIC charting experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with a combination of med-surg and progressive care patients
  • Day and night shifts available, 3 x 12 hours per week (7 : 00–19 : 00 or 19 : 00–7 : 00)
  • Floating within scope may be required
  • No radius restrictions and locals are accepted at the same rate
  • EPIC charting system is used and experience is required
  • Responsibilities include caring for patients requiring both med-surg and progressive care
  • Orientation includes online modules to be completed during the first week
  • No guaranteed time off during the first week of the assignment
  • Holidays may be required as part of the schedule
  • Candidates must not have been employed at this health system within the past twelve months to be eligible
  • Return staff must have a minimum one-year break before returning as a traveler

  • Active VA or compact state RN license in hand at time of consideration
  • Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience in a similar unit required
  • Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program (diploma, Associate, or BSN)
  • BSN preferred
  • Current references from supervisors required
  • Completion of all pre-employment background checks
  • Natural nail policy must be followed
  • Drug and smoke-free campus adherence
