Description

RHD Connecticut (CT) is looking for Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to work in the area of Trumbull and surrounding towns. There are currently Part-Time positions available. Each shift includes a Saturday or Sunday. We have full time positions and per diem opportunities, too!

The Direct Support Professional is responsible for safety and supervision of our consumers with Intellectual Developmental Disabilities, Behavioral health histories to facilitate healthy and socially acceptable behaviors while living in community-based sites. This position will coordinate with clinical staff, implement residentially based interventions and assist the clients in achieving their clinical assignments. The DSP is responsible for fulfilling the obligations as outlined in the client’s program plan. The DSP will prompt or assist, as necessary, to ensure the clients participate in the activities of daily living, in both the home and the community. A commitment to the RHD values should be demonstrated as job duties are performed.

RHD Connecticut and Resources for Human Development are part of Apis Services, Inc.

RHD provides residential community living arrangements, day services, and individual rehabilitative supports to people who have developmental disabilities in the West and South regions in Connecticut. Currently RHD CT operates 10 CLAs, Continuous Residential Support programs and supports individuals who reside in apartments in the community. RHD CT operates one day program in the South region of the State (Hamden).
