Job Description
POSITION OBJECTIVE
Working under general direction, the director of data integrity is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing data strategies and data quality assurance through validation, diagnostics, and audits ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and usability of advancement-related data across systems in support of the university's fundraising, donor engagement, and stewardship goals. This position will play a critical role in maintaining the quality of constituent data in Constituent Relationship Management system (Ellucian CRM Advance) and other related data sources, both internal and external to the university. The incumbent will lead efforts to improve data hygiene, develop and enforce data standards and governance practices, and ensure that data integrity protocols are embedded across advancement operations. The director will work closely with Advancement Services leadership, development officers, and university partners to identify and resolve data quality issues, streamline data intake and maintenance processes, and enhance confidence in the use of advancement data. The director is a proactive and detail-oriented collaborator who leverages analytical thinking, data validation practices, and cross-functional coordination to support a data-informed culture across University Relations and Development.

CONTACTS
Department : Regular and extensive interaction with vice president, assistant vice president, executive director, senior director, directors, and department staff as required to perform essential functions.
University : Contact with the president's office, provost's office, vice presidents, deans, trustees, alumni, chief development officers, senior staff in schools and college, faculty and staff as required to perform essential functions.
External : Contact with donors, alumni, foundation representatives, community organizers / advocates, corporate executives, and federal, state, and local government officials. Contact with visitors, academic boards and organizations as required to perform essential functions.
Students : Contact with undergraduate, graduate, and professional students as required to perform essential functions.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
Direct supervisory responsibility of program manager of advancement technology training and support.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience : 5 or more years of professional experience in a related field, preferably within a sophisticated development or advancement operation. Demonstrated experience in data integrity, data governance, or records management is essential. Experience with data analytics and auditing. Prior work in advancement operations or fundraising analytics within a higher education or nonprofit setting is preferred. Familiarity with a constituent relationship management system is highly desirable.
Education : Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.

General office environment. Travel to meetings in various buildings on campus on a regular basis.
Hybrid Eligibility
This position is eligible for hybrid work arrangement up to two remote days per week at the discretion of the department. New employees may begin a hybrid schedule upon approval from the supervisor, successful completion of an orientation period and signing the remote work checklist certification form.
