Warehouse Technician

Location : Russellville, AR

Pay Rate : $21.00

Hours : Mon-Fri 6 : 30am-3 : 00pm

Sign-on Bonus : $1,000 to be paid out as follows

  • $500 at 90 days
  • $500 at 180 days

Purpose Of The Job

The primary objective of this position is to ensure that product is moved from the production floor and put away in the appropriate area of the warehouse while also loading shipments on various types of platforms for customer delivery. A warehouse technician is also relied upon to move material within the warehouse for consolidation of space and for staging of material for pending shipments.

As a warehouse team member, you will have many opportunities to extend your skill base and will be expected to accept responsibility and be accountable for contributing to the successful operation of the plant. We expect pride in workmanship and team involvement in ensuring a safe environment, eliminating waste, and working together to solve problems, make decisions and improve operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Able to move product from both production lines to the appropriate location in warehouse.
  • Use dual-front tire forklift to physically move units in to and around warehouse.
  • The ability properly designate location of material within the warehouse management information system
  • Observe safety processes and procedures at all times.
  • Maintain acceptable housekeeping standards.
  • Ability to utilize the in-house floor scrubber to aid in cleaning.
  • Complete all housekeeping activities in a safe manner.
  • Staging product for pending scheduled shipments.
  • Ability to read staging reports for product and quantity.
  • Use forklift to move the appropriate material and quantity of product to staging area.
  • The ability to properly scan said product to staging location.
  • Complete all staging activities in a safe manner.
  • Ability to fulfill shipments by placing them on various types of transportation platforms.
  • While observing safety processes and procedures, use forklift to place required product on to vehicle.
  • Ability to generate and read paperwork and leverage knowledge of warehouse layout to efficiently load product.
  • The ability to electronically record movement of inventory to order from warehouse information system.
  • All other duties as may be assigned.

    • Job Requirements

    Minimum Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

    • Preferred Experience :

  • Operation of a forklift (Required)
  • Experience using a radio frequency terminal (commonly referred to as an "RF Terminal" or "scan gun")

    • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

  • Ability to routinely lift up to 40 lbs. without assistance.
  • Work up to 12 hours in hot / cold manufacturing environment.
  • Safeguard self with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - steel-toed shoes, eye protection (glasses, goggles, and / or facemask) hearing protection and long-sleeved shirt (with shirt tail tucked in) as necessary for task.
  • Use cleaning equipment or tools as necessary for housekeeping duties in accordance with all safety rules.
  • Ability to work overtime as business conditions require.
