Secretary / Office Assistant
Patient Outreach Healthcare, Inc. is a licensed and Medicare-certified home health agency based in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. We provide skilled nursing, personal care, and specialized programs across Lehigh, Northampton, Berks, Bucks, Montgomery, Carbon, and surrounding counties. We are currently seeking a Secretary / Office Assistant who will play a key role in managing our daily office operations, assisting with patient intake and scheduling, and occasionally supporting field staff as needed. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, professional, and have a Home Health Aide (HHA) certification.
Responsibilities :
- Manage phone calls, emails, and office correspondence in a professional manner
- Assist with patient intake, data entry, and chart preparation
- Verify insurance and update electronic medical records
- Schedule home health visits and communicate assignments to field staff
- Coordinate with nurses, aides, and case managers on visit schedules and documentation
- File and organize patient records in compliance with HIPAA
- Support billing and administrative staff with documentation requests
- Perform occasional field visits or aide duties if needed (for emergencies or short coverage)
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred)Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) Certification in Pennsylvania (preferred)Valid driver's license and (required)Minimum 1 year of experience in home health or healthcare office administrationProficient in Microsoft Office and EMR systems (Alora, WellSky, or similar a plus)Strong communication and multitasking skillsKnowledge of HIPAA and home health documentation procedures
