Talent Acquisition Coordinator

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator is responsible for supporting the recruitment process by crafting job descriptions for approval (when assigned) and preparing job offer letters. They maintain candidate databases, coordinate interviews, and assist with onboarding. Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and organizational skills are essential. Perform routine auditing of the Applicant Tracking System.

Other duties may be assigned by the Director of Talent Acquisition.

Possesses skills in interviewing techniques, a good knowledge of all clerical and specialized functions in the company, a basic understanding of the company's organizational structure as well as an extensive knowledge of personnel policy and procedure, and federal and state laws regarding employment practices; Confers with the Director of Talent to identify personnel needs, workforce planning strategies, and search assignments. Reviews resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience, and knowledge in relation to position requirements. Interviews all candidates presented for detailed interviewing by hiring managers and includes the use of face-to-face behavioral-based interviewing methodologies. Researches and recommends new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting. Administers the online career center and utilizes various internet and electronic tools to attract talent. Serves as an administrator of the Applicant Tracking System and all related software. Assists Director of Talent Acquisition with projects relating to company initiatives and talent acquisition, and recruiting success. Assists Branches remotely as needed when recruiters are out of the office. Networks through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups, and employees to help identify and source qualified talent. Develops an effective pipeline of key talent potentially available for immediate hire as succession planning needs dictate. Maintains accurate and well-ordered documentation on all candidates, searches, hiring managers' interactions, and other recruiting activities to ensure a safe and thorough audit if required. Can inform applicants of benefits programs such as life, health, dental, and disability insurances, vacation, sick leave, leaves of absence, and employee assistance. Builds a professional relationship with customers, employees, and staff. Places employment ads utilizing various media; includes researching and negotiating advertising contracts. Performs other duties as assigned.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities. The Talent Acquisition Coordinator is subject to supervision from the Director of Talent Acquisition.

Education and / or Experience : At least three to five years of managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process is highly preferred. Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, required. Associate's degree or equivalent educations in HR or related field.

Language Skills : Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations using the English language. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills : Ability to calculate figures and amounts with basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with accuracy.

Reasoning Ability : Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills : To perform this job successfully, the Talent Acquisition Coordinator should possess intermediate skills in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, and should have working knowledge of applicant tracking systems, Human Resources systems, and internet programs.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations : The Talent Acquisition Coordinator should maintain membership in the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM,) and maintain CP, PHR, or SPHR certification is preferred.

Other Qualifications : Must be able to travel on a limited basis (10-15%) and on infrequent, occasional work nights and / or weekends. Ability to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
