Company has over 60 years of experience as the nation's largest manufacturer of metal roofing, wall and building systems. Due to continued growth, we are accepting applications for Truck Driver CDL A Flatbed Driver in Fredrick, CO.

Compensation - The annual salary range is $80,000 to $90,000 per year which includes :

  • $10,000 Sign-on bonus, Paid quarterly at $2,500 increments.
  • Activity-based pay (mileage, stops, unloads, etc.).
  • Quarterly incentives.
  • Per diem pay is available taxable or non-taxable, employee choice.
  • Routes are typically 1500-2000 or more miles per week.
  • Typical work days are 10-14 hours.
  • PTO's paid hourly, based on average annual salary (approximately $30-$35 / hour).
  • Bi-Weekly paychecks. Benefits - Eligibility after 31 days

  • PTO (accrual starts on hire date)

    • Accrue 5 days their first year of service

  • 8 days second year of service
  • 13 days third - seventh year of service

    • Work Schedule :

    Monday-Friday, home every weekend.

  • Start times vary, typically around 2am-5am,depending on routes (deliveries made between 7am-3pm).
  • Maximum of 4 overnights per week; home every weekend.
  • For overnight routes, a sleeper cab will be used and you will spend the night in the sleeper.
  • Routes mainly cover the Wyoming area.
  • Deliveries to lumber yards, retail, and commercial and / or residential job sites.
  • Must be flexible with work schedule and route assignments. Responsibilities :

    • Drive CDL trucks to transport materials and equipment to specific route destinations.

  • Delivering and unloading steel building supplies to residential and commercial job sites
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle. Reporting maintenance / repair issues on trucks and / or equipment.
  • Flatbed Conestoga trailers with moffett deliveries -strap and tarp on rollers. Moffett experience preferred but will train.
  • Drive sleeper trucks with forward-facing cameras. Requirements

    • Must be 21 years of age.

  • Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License, with air brakes endorsement.
  • Current DOT Medical Card and be able to pass pre-employment DOT drug screen and physical.
  • Minimum of 3 years of CDL A tractor-trailer experience and / or 200,000 miles.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Flatbed tractor-trailer experience is required.
  • Moffett experience preferred but will train.
  • Experience with mountain driving, chaining, etc. required.
  • Must be able to drive manual transmission. No manual restrictions.
  • Be in excellent physical condition and be able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, lift, push, pull for extended periods and have normal use of senses.
  • Able to work in all types of environments and under difficult conditions; hot, cold, dust, indoors, outdoors.
  • Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English.
  • Be able to lift, push, pull 75 pounds with no assistance.
