Selectek is currently seeking a Design Engineer to join our clients engineering team. This role focuses on designing new products and improving existing ones using SolidWorks. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing the product development lifecycle and a solid foundation in mechanical or electrical design.

Responsibilities :

  • Design new and enhance existing products utilizing SolidWorks and other 3D CAD tools.
  • Manage the product design lifecycle from concept through full-scale production, including component design and documentation.
  • Conduct engineering testing, document results, and produce detailed test reports.
  • Develop clear and concise assembly procedures for the manufacturing team.
  • Lead Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) events to identify potential failure modes and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, and procurement teams to ensure design feasibility and production readiness.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for product performance, reliability, and manufacturability.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in product design.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks, 3D CAD design, and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing processes including sand casting, permanent mold casting, machining, and welding.
  • Proven track record of successfully bringing new products to market and redesigning existing products for improved performance.

    • Pay Rate : $70,000 - $80,000
