Location
This position is considered office-first. An office-first employee can flex between in-office work and working from home based on personal or professional need, at the discretion of their supervisor. An office-first employee maintains an office presence at least three days per week at their designated Scooter's Coffee office location. Scooter's Coffee is headquartered in Omaha, NE. The successful candidate lives in Omaha, NE. Relocation is not available for this role.
Description
The Payroll Administrator will support the payroll function for all Boundless Enterprises, Harvest Roasting, Scooter's Coffee & Boundless Operations by ensuring accurate and timely processing of weekly payroll for all employees. In this role, you will use your strong organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain payroll records, follow company policies, and deliver excellent service to employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Process weekly payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees, including multiemployer and multistate payrolls
- Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure timely updates for new hires, terminations, and pay changes
- Review timekeeping data and interpret state wage and hour requirements, including California & Washington
- Calculate and process tips, PTO, holiday pay, overtime, and shift differentials in accordance with company policies
- Administer garnishment processing and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
- Prepare manual payroll checks, voids, and stop payments when necessary
- Research and resolve payroll questions or discrepancies in partnership with HR and other internal teams
- Be responsible and knowledgeable of all tax rates, including withholdings, yearly rate changes, state unemployment tax rates, employee taxes and employer taxes
- Generate payroll-related reports and assist with ad hoc reporting needs
- Support quarter-end and year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing and WOTC reporting
- Stay current on payroll regulations, wage and hour rules, and internal procedures
- Perform other payroll-related duties as assigned
