Korn Ferry is partnering with our client on their search for a Senior Tax Analyst - State & Local Income Tax (SALT).

  • The Dallas HQ leads collaborative, project-driven work supported by regional offices in Northern Virginia and Dubai

Role Summary :

  • Title : Senior Tax Analyst - State & Local Income Tax (SALT)
  • Team Structure : Reports to the Director of Indirect Tax within the Corporate Tax Department
  • Primary Scope : State and local income / franchise tax compliance, tax provision support, audit and notice response, and multistate apportionment
  • Broader Exposure : Opportunity to gain experience in international direct and indirect taxation in a high-growth, fast-paced environment

    • Key Responsibilities :

  • Prepare and review state and local income / franchise tax returns and estimated payments across multiple jurisdictions
  • Assist with quarterly and annual tax provisions in compliance with ASC 740
  • Maintain and analyze apportionment data (property, payroll, sales) for multistate reporting
  • Respond to tax notices and support state audits and inquiries
  • Conduct technical research and write memos on SALT-related matters
  • Partner with internal departments (Accounting, Finance, Operations) to validate tax data
  • Support tax strategy for new operations and geographic expansion
  • Participate in process improvements and tax automation projects
  • Gain exposure to international tax projects under mentorship

    • Ideal Candidate Profile :

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMI a plus)
  • 3+ years of experience in SALT compliance and provision, preferably in public or corporate settings
  • Familiarity with construction, manufacturing, or infrastructure sectors is a strong plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, etc.)
  • Understanding of multistate apportionment and state tax rules
  • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Motivated to develop international tax skills within a dynamic environment

    • Compensation & Benefits :

  • Salary Range : $78K-$100K base, plus annual bonus potential
