Payroll Specialist Opportunity

Professional Staffing has partnered with a premiere construction company and long-time client on their search for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist. Great communication, attention to detail, and certified payroll knowledge is a must. Pay Rate : $28-$33 / hr. Benefits : Health, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO- eligible upon hire Location : Escalon, CA

Requirements of the Payroll Specialist :

  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of certified payroll and prevailing wage regulations
  • 3+ years of full-cycle payroll experience
  • Strong knowledge of Department of Industrial Relations compliance program and reporting requirements
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines

Responsibilities of the Payroll Specialist :

  • Process weekly payroll for approximately 50-75 employees
  • Generate certified payroll reports and submit electronically to the DIR
  • Prepare required forms related to payroll
  • Process payroll taxes
  • Manage Worker's Comp
  • Dispatch workers as needed
  • Maintain employee records
  • Track subcontractor certified payroll
  • Process Skilled & Trained reports for company and subcontractors
