Job Description

The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist, under the direction of the Medical Director, Clinical Specialist, Manager, and Radiologist, performs technical procedures and assists in the clinical evaluation and care of patients in a fast-paced, Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center. The CT Technologist utilizes their modality expertise to create diagnostic images while ensuring a safe and positive experience for patients.

Technologists engage in trauma and emergency room scanning, and conduct CT exams on outpatients, inpatients (both stable and those in intensive care), research patients, and those requiring specialized CT scan-guided procedures. They also support ongoing learning and teach as the technology evolves while practicing and enforcing radiation safety measures as per New York State Department of Health regulations.
