Family Practice Provider (MD / DO / NP / PA) (Float)

Job Description

This position provides direct patient care in accordance with established clinic protocols. Care is provided in both clinic and hospital settings as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct patient care within the scope of primary care medicine in outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Examines, diagnoses, and treats acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Delivers care that considers healthcare costs and social determinants of health.
  • Utilizes a team-based care model, leveraging the expertise of all team members.
  • Maintains accurate electronic health records and completes documentation promptly.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Experience working with low-income populations preferred.
  • Typing and computer skills required.
  • Knowledge of health insurance plans preferred.
  • Ability to train and teach staff required.
  • Knowledge of office policies, procedures, and regulatory standards like CLIA and OSHA preferred.
  • Proficiency with practice management software required.
  • Hospital privileges may be required.
