Position : Accounting Assistant / Receivables 3

Location : Nashville, TN (37203)

Duration : 06 months

Position's Contributions to Work Group :

  • This role will be focused on basic cash application-cash posting functions. Lockbox, receipt posting and other frontline cash related functions.

Typical task breakdown :

  • Lockbox (check processing) We receive 1000 checks daily on average. The activity is distributed out amongst the lockbox staff.
  • Daily assignments are expected to be completed same day. We've never failed to meet this requirement.

    • Interaction with team :

    The majority of our communication is within Microsoft Teams and email.

    Work environment :

    Hybrid. We work from home with one day a week in office. Eventually, we will likely increase to 3 days in office, but that is not expected to be anytime soon

    Education & Experience Required :

  • High School equivalence required. Degree preferred.
  • Recent graduates are welcome. Finance or Accounting experience preferred.
  • 5-7 years financial and / or accounting experience required w / high school

    • Technical Skills

  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills. Effectively managing time to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with accounting software like Oracle, SAP, Quickbooks or similar systems. Basic excel proficiency. Data entry skills.
  • Oracle experience is a plus, but not required.

  • Clear and concise communication both verbally and written.
  • Analyzing information and making sound judgments.
  • Strong commitment to completing assignments.
