Job Summary :

The primary responsibilities of the Flatbed / Platen (Bobst) Die Cutter are to maintain and operate the Bobst Die Cutting equipment including, but not limited to installing dies, lower cutting plates, stripping and / or blanking tooling. Must also be able to perform minor repairs to dies and other tooling. Must be able to do complete setups on new dies.

Schedule : 6 : 00am - 2 : 30pm M-F with overtime as needed

Prepare machinery for the start of shift, which includes necessary materials and paperwork.

Find zero point, create spot sheets, and zone patch as necessary.

Monitor finished products for quality standards.

Complete simple, routine maintenance on machines to keep machine operational.

Troubleshoot machinery for basic malfunctions and correct issues.

Complete all necessary paperwork for machine operated.

Clean machinery at the end of shift to prepare for next workday / shift.

Clean and stock work area in preparation for next workday / shift.

Perform these and other duties as assigned by supervisor or other appropriate management personnel.

Safely perform physical demands as indicated below.

Work overtime as needed to meet customers’ needs.

Education :

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities :

Basic math and reading skills

Ability to read a ruler and use a caliper

Ability to multi-task with a high level of attention to detail

Good interpersonal and communication skills

Basic computer and mechanical abilities
