Position Overview :

The General Labor role serves as a key function in the operation and on-going maintenance of the high-speed manufacturing equipment that produces both metal cans and ends at the Dubuque, Iowa manufacturing location.

Duties And Responsibilities :

Reporting directly to manufacturing floor supervision and management, the Janitor or General Labor responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following :

• Maintain all housekeeping inside the manufacturing plant
• Operate scrubbing machinery as needed
• Sort finished product and support operations as a machine operator when needed
• Use approved solvents to remove grease, dirt, build-up from all equipment and machinery as well as the general facility
• Wipe and clean out all oil pans
• Clean and wax floors and perform maintenance tasks and yard work duties as needed
• Dispose of all cleaning waste, press units, etc. as directed
• Maintain cleaning records as required
• Support in keeping all equipment clean and orderly
• Keeping the work area clean and organized, performing minor tasks as directed by the line maintainer here qualified
• Observe and practices company safety rules and SOP's at all times
• Communicate all pertinent information between departments, peers and between shifts on changes to equipment, production schedules, production problems or any other related information.
• Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned
