The Dispatcher will be responsible for all transportation related concerns within a geographic market with the ability to cover other markets as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Demonstrate the Core Values : Trust, Team, Results, Pride, Fun and Transparency
- Dispatch drivers to deliver and retrieve trailers / loads to and from various locations
- Communicate with customers re : freight details, delivery / pick up times and any special requests
- Prepare shipping documents, invoices, and management reports.
- Coordinate with operational management at Nellis to ensure product is delivered timely
- Meet or exceed Nellis Auction vendor SLA’s
- Maximize fleet utilization to ensure profitable operations.
- Meet or exceed for-hire freight customer SLA’s
- Secure multiple quotes for 3rd party loads to ensure best service / lowest price
- Arrange for fleet inspections / maintenance while maintaining adequate equipment coverage
- Ability to view and interpret ELD logs and report any concerns to management.
- Review GPS locations to ensure all vehicles and trailers are within expected geographic area reporting any concerns to management.
- Ensure driver schedules are adequate to meet customer SLA’s, reporting any gaps to management.
- Complete all training in a timely manner to comply with all DOT and Gavel requirements.
- Liaison to vendors and Nellis Auction management / staff
- Comply with health and safety regulations including OSHA and DOT
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands
The employee must periodically lift and / or move up to 50lbs. When lifting more than 50lbs, two or more team members will lift the load. The employee is required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in extreme heat and / cold.
