Shipping and Receiving Sit-Down Forklift Operator
This role focuses on operating a sit-down forklift to support shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations in a fast-paced beverage environment. You will safely load and unload containers, move finished goods and raw materials, and ensure accurate staging and storage of inventory while following all safety and operational procedures.
Responsibilities
- Operate a sit-down forklift to safely load and off-load inbound and outbound containers.
- Move pallets of beverages, raw materials, and packaging throughout the warehouse in a safe and efficient manner.
- Stage products accurately for shipment and place inventory in designated storage locations.
- Verify product counts, check pallet integrity, and inspect container conditions to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Follow all safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and company policies at all times.
- Assist with general warehouse duties such as wrapping pallets, housekeeping, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members to support an efficient and continuous workflow.
- Perform basic data entry related to shipping, receiving, and inventory as needed.
- Support shipping and receiving activities, including handling documentation and organizing inbound and outbound shipments.
Essential Skills
- Minimum 1 year of sit-down forklift experience, with container loading and unloading experience preferred.
- Proficiency operating a sit-down forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work safely in a warehouse/manufacturing setting and follow OSHA and company safety guidelines.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Strong attention to safety, detail, and accuracy in handling products and documentation.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Experience in shipping and receiving operations, including handling pallets and containers.
- Basic data entry skills related to inventory, shipping, and receiving activities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Forklift certification preferred or willingness and ability to obtain certification.
- Experience as a shipping and receiving clerk or in a similar warehouse role.
- Comfort working with inventory processes and maintaining organized storage areas.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to support smooth operations.

Work Environment
The role is based in an open bay warehouse environment equipped with fans to support airflow and comfort. You will work primarily Monday through Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with the expectation that you can stay later as needed and work one Saturday per month. The position follows a 30-minute lunch break. You will work in a warehouse/manufacturing setting that involves frequent movement, lifting, and operating a sit-down forklift around pallets of beverages, raw materials, and packaging. The dress code requires wearing pants, a sleeved shirt, and steel-toe footwear to support safety and compliance with workplace standards.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Miami, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
