Responsibilities

POSITION OVERVIEW :

An ABA teacher's primary job responsibility is to implement curriculum programs and behavior intervention for children and young adults with autism spectrum disorder and other disabilities. The teacher also assists in data collection, graphing, planning, and leading small group instruction, lesson planning, and adaptation of the education program to enable students to benefit from educational experiences.

The ABA Teacher implements teaching methodologies based upon the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis, including discrete trial training, task analyses, and works 1 : 1, 2 : 1, or 3-5 : 1 with students. Other activities include teaching job and life skills to students in the community, attending trainings regarding The Victory Center's program, and weekly staff meetings.

We are looking for an individual who is dedicated to teaching students with autism related disabilities functional and meaningful skills to achieve greater independence, such as life skills, vocational, social skills, academics, and communication. The position is full-time from 7 : 45 a.m. to 3 : 45 p.m. Our programs are year-round, with holiday breaks between the summer session and the fall. Additionally, we align with many public-school vacations and holidays.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

Light Work : Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and / or up to 10 pounds of force as frequently as needed to move objects.

Lead Teacher, Program Supervisor, Training Coordinator, and Director of Education
