About the Position
AlliedTravelCareers is working with Towne U.S. LLC to find a qualified Occupational Therapist (OT) in Fairfield, California, 94534!
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist (Hand Therapist) to join our outpatient rehabilitation team in Fairfield. The Occupational Therapist will evaluate and treat patients with hand, wrist, elbow, and upper extremity conditions, helping them regain function, reduce pain, and return to daily activities, work, and recreational pursuits.
We welcome applications from experienced Hand Therapists as well as Occupational Therapists with hand therapy experience who are interested in further developing their expertise in upper extremity rehabilitation.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans for hand and upper extremity conditions
- Provide therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, functional training, and patient education
- Fabricate and fit custom orthoses and splints as needed
- Treat patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, repetitive stress conditions, and orthopedic diagnoses
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans to maximize outcomes
- Educate patients on injury prevention, home exercise programs, and recovery strategies
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility standards
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate care
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care focused on restoring function and independence
Requirements
- Required: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Required: Active OT license in the state of practice or ability to obtain
- Preferred: Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential
- Will Consider: Occupational Therapists who are not CHT-certified but have hand therapy experience
- Preferred: Experience in outpatient orthopedic or upper extremity rehabilitation
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative clinical environment
