Job Title : Academic Dean
Department : Women’s Program
Reports To : Program Supervisor / Director
Schedule : Full-Time ( hours per week)
Summary : The Academic Dean understands the value of biblical education and foundation for the women in the home. This person oversees both residents and apprentice academic records and progress.
Responsibilities :
1. Overseeing apprentice and resident tasks and ensure that all is done correctly, thoroughly, and with precision according to the overall program’s standards.
2. Supervising, evaluating, and supporting discipleship phases in a manner that promotes excellence in instruction, scholarly and creative productivity, and sound biblical doctrine.
3. Facilitating all phases of resident academics.
4. Providing regular input and assistance for Orientation, Second Phase, Third Phase and Restoration.
5. Ensuring GSNL and PSNL curriculums, character qualities, etc. are being integrated into classroom.
6. Ensuring sound doctrine is maintained in all teaching environments.
7. Having weekly meetings with all instructors to receive updates on resident progress.
8. Addressing academic related needs and provide alternative methods where needed.
9. Teaching and instructing classes in accordance with Teen Challenge USA standards and certifications.
- Overseeing study hall to maintain an environment conducive to higher learning.
- Helping residents discover their spiritual giftings and a place to serve.
- Providing bi-weekly updates to the Program Supervisor regarding the progress and status of all resident and staff academics.
- Checking / grading weekly homework.
