Academic Fieldwork Coordinator

St. Edward's University, a nationally ranked, independent Catholic university and Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI), invites applications for a Full time 9 or 12 month, position as an Professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy, beginning May 2025 St. Edward's is characterized by its commitment to the Holy Cross educational mission of educating the hearts and minds of a diverse student body deeply committed to social justice.
The successful candidate (AFWC) is responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, monitoring, and assessing the Level I and Level II Fieldwork program. The AFWC collaborates with and mentors students through the fieldwork experience. Additional responsibilities include planning and implementing educational opportunities for clinical educators; assisting with recruitment and admissions processes; advising students; developing coursework as it relates to clinical preparedness, providing service to the department, college and community as strategically planned and appointed; participating in scholarly endeavors and other duties as assigned by the OT Program Director.

For consideration, we are seeking candidates who meet the following criteria :
- Full-time core faculty teaching in OTD programs must hold a doctoral degree awarded by a USDE-recognized regional accrediting body. The doctoral degree is not limited to a doctorate in occupational therapy.
- Must be licensed as an occupational therapist in Texas.
- A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at the college / university level.
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience
Experience in scholarly activity preferred.
Essential Responsibilities Include : Candidates should have the interest and ability or potential to teach various undergraduate courses and support a diverse student body.
Communicates with appropriate stakeholders (e.g., clinical education sites / facilities, faculty, and students) to maintain current with policies and practices of the educational program, the clinical education sites, and any potential health care changes affecting clinical practice and education
Develops and maintains the policies and procedures for clinical site selection, utilization, and assessment
Collaborates within the state and national consortiums to connect with other FWEs to promote, coordinate, plan, and provide FWE development opportunities using effective instructional methodologies and technologies with approval of the Program Directors
