The Academic Advisor plays a crucial role in supporting students throughout their educational journey at Hialeah Campus. Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field.
Experience in academic advising or student affairs.
Preferred Qualifications :
Minimum requirement : Bachelor’s in psychology, Counseling or Educational Leadership. Master level Preferred.
Excellent communication skills, customer service and be able to work in a team environment.
Communicate effectively in written and oral form in both English and Spanish.
Experience in community outreach and student recruitment.
Responsibilities :
Provide one-on-one academic advising to students, helping them understand degree requirements and course selection.
Develop and implement programs that promote student engagement and community outreach.
Assist students in identifying career goals and provide resources for career counseling and job placement.
Collaborate with faculty and staff to enhance student development initiatives and support services.
Monitor student progress and intervene when necessary to ensure academic success and retention.
