UWorld is currently seeking a strategic and relationship-driven Account Manager to support the continued growth of our Nursing division across Northern California and the Pacific Northwest. This role will partner closely with the Account Executive and Team Leader to strengthen and expand our institutional B2B presence.
The Account Manager will focus on nurturing existing partnerships, driving retention, and identifying expansion opportunities within universities and colleges throughout the assigned territory. The ideal candidate is an expert relationship builder who excels at managing institutional accounts, supporting bulk purchase agreements, and ensuring long-term client success. Through proactive engagement, thoughtful account planning, and collaboration with the Account Executive, this individual will help maximize territory performance and deepen institutional partnerships.
Minimum Education Required
Bachelor’s degree in science, marketing, communications, business, or relevant field preferred.
Minimum Experience Required
- Minimum five years of experience in B2B sales and account management
- Experience in education, publishing, or healthcare-related industries preferred
- Demonstrated success in driving account retention and expansion revenue
- Experience in account planning, stakeholder management, and time management

JOB DUTIES (Including but not limited to)
Account Management & Growth (70%)
- Partner closely with the Account Executive to support institutional accounts
- Manage post-sale onboarding, implementation support, and ongoing relationship development
- Drive year-over-year retention of university and college partnerships
- Identify and execute opportunities including bulk purchase renewals and cross-sell initiatives
- Conduct regular check-ins, business reviews, and product discussions with institutional partners
- Support pricing conversations, renewal negotiations, and contract management
- Monitor account health and proactively address risks to retention
- Deliver on-site presentations, sales demos, and webinars to faculty and student groups
- Attend conferences and tradeshows to strengthen existing relationships and engage prospects
- Maintain accurate CRM documentation including notes, forecasting insights, and follow-ups
- Meet monthly and quarterly retention and expansion revenue goals aligned with territory targets
Territory & Team Collaboration (30%)
- Work in tandem with the Account Executive to align on territory strategy and account planning
- Collaborate with Marketing to share customer insights and support targeted campaigns
- Coordinate with Customer Care to ensure seamless quote processing and customer support
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to territory performance initiatives
- Route qualified new business opportunities to the Account Executive for development and closure
- Demonstrate accountability by independently completing assignments and holding self and others to performance standards
- Pursue professional growth through training, feedback, and development opportunities
