Job Details

As an integral part of our team, you will be tasked with overseeing the daily transactional accounting activities. This role involves maintaining accounting records, preparing and analyzing the trial balance and account reconciliations, and providing support in the annual financial audit. You will be guiding the payable and billing teams in the daily activity. If you are a proactive hands-on manager with strong accounting skills who is eager to seek opportunities for efficiency in processes, we want to hear from you! This role will be reporting to the VP of Finance with an opportunity to grow.

Location : Midland / Odessa, TX

Qualifications / Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of GAAP Accounting principles and Cost Accounting
  • Proficiency in financial systems including Microsoft office (excel & PowerPoint)
  • Experience managing credit & customer aging
  • Proficiency in maintaining and managing general ledger and month-end close procedures
  • Expertise in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize work, multi-task across many assignments
  • Self-starter with an extreme sense of ownership

    Requirements : Job Requirements

  • Oversee the execution of the month-end close process and help prepare board, investor and leadership financial package
  • Manage and oversee day-to-day accounting operations, GL functions, and credit functions
  • Supervise accounts payable, ensure timely and accurate vendor payment
  • Supervise billing activities and maintain positive customer relationships
  • Supervise and manage a team of 5 direct reports within Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, ensuring efficient and accurate operations.
  • Preparing weekly and monthly reporting packages with key performance indicators, analyze account fluctuations and trends
  • Perform other related accounting duties as assigned
  • Assist in various ad-hoc projects as needed, including but not limited to :
  • ROI Analysis
  • Implementation and / or improvement of the company's ERP & financial reporting systems
  • Cost Accounting and Margin Analysis
