Job Description
The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for an Accounting Assistant 3 for The College of Education. This position will maintain budgets, answer budget questions, process financial expenditures, monitor expenses, reconcile Workday work tags monthly, resolve problems, produce financial reports, process spend authorizations, process grant p-card transactions, create spreadsheets, complete match / in kind documentation, obtain signature and submit OSPA paperwork, answer questions about grant work tags, knowledgeable in Workday, attend meetings and trainings, and provide training support. This position will prepare human resource tasks for new hires, advise best employment types, monitor cost allocations, review classified job descriptions, and act as a back-up liaison. This position will pre-review and post-review effort, prepare cost transfer justifications, inform principal investigator of any problems, and monitor payroll clearing work tags. This position will complete Workday Knowledgebase forms, inventory all fixed asset and equipment, answer phones and assist faculty, process financial and human resource transactions, reconcile accounts, and any other duties as assigned.

ALL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS HAVE BEEN WAIVED FOR THIS POSITION UNTIL DECEMBER 31ST, 2024. Please refer to the link for more information : Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.
Required Qualification
Graduation from high school or equivalent education and three (3) years of progressively responsible clerical accounting experience which included duties such as responsibility for accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and / or other accounting data; setting up computer spreadsheets to record, track organize and report data; researching and interpreting financial to data prepare reports and respond to budget and accounts related inquiries; and reconciling accounts; OR
One (1) year of experience as an Accounting Assistant II in Nevada State service which included clerical accounting duties as described above, OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.

Schedule
The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm; this is subject to change based on organizational needs.
Compensation Grade
Grade 27 (Entry, Step 01 $22.13 – Step 03 $24.02 / hr.)
