Position Description
The Department of Accounting & Finance in the Lucas College of Business at San José State University is pleased to announce a search for Assistant Professor of Finance beginning in August 2026. The candidate will teach Financial Management or Financial Institutions in undergraduate or graduate programs as well as corporate finance topics in undergraduate, MS Financial Analytics, and MBA programs. The faculty ideally should have research that is broadly related to corporate finance and financial institutions.
The Department of Accounting & Finance teaches undergraduate coursework in finance, accounting, and tax disciplines with a technology flavor and encourages cross-discipline research. It houses both the Masters of Science in Accounting Analytics program and the new Masters of Science in Financial Analytics degree with a corporate finance focus.
