The Accounting Manager will lead a dynamic team of property accountants, ensuring timely and precise task management and completion. This role offers the excitement of managing tight deadlines and diverse accounting activities, making excellent time management and prioritization skills essential. If you are a hands-on, detail-oriented professional looking to join a vibrant and growing team, we want to hear from you!

Job Duties of the Accounting Manager :

  • Lead a team responsible for all accounting functions and financial reporting.
  • Understand the financial reporting and general ledger structure for various investors and third-party owners.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.
  • Review the general ledger for accuracy.
  • Review monthly recurring journal entries for accuracy and applicability.
  • Oversee month-end close accounting and review .
  • Ensure financial statements comply with GAAP and internal policies.
  • Review all financial reporting packages for accurate presentation to investors / owners.
  • Advise staff on handling non-routine reporting transactions.
  • Support annual audits .
  • Support annual budgeting activities.
  • Assist in developing and implementing new procedures to enhance department workflow.

    • Position Requirements for the Accounting Manager :

  • Multi-family property management accounting or real estate accounting experience strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
  • CPA license or CPA eligibility a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Asset, Cash, General Ledger, and Financial Statement preparation and review.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with the RealPage Accounting Platform preferred.
