Remote Accounting Jobs in Downey, CA

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join the team. This role is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, technical accounting, and audit coordination, with a focus on inventory, cost of sales, and technical accounting. The ideal candidate is hands-on, collaborative, and experienced in applying IFRS and US GAAP in a corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead month-end and quarter-end financial close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis related to inventory, cost of sales, and service contracts

Coordinate and support quarterly / annual audits, including SOX compliance and deliverables for external auditors

Prepare and present business performance analyses to management, including insights on retail and wholesale sales trends

Research and implement new accounting standards, and prepare accounting memos that outline treatment recommendations in accordance with IFRS / US GAAP

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

7+ years of accounting / finance experience, ideally with a blend of public accounting and industry experience (distribution or manufacturing preferred)

Solid understanding and application of IFRS and US GAAP

Strong technical accounting skills, with experience writing accounting position memos

Prior experience with SOX compliance and coordinating financial audits

Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP S / 4HANA is a plus

CPA preferred

Experience working in a multinational environment is a plus
