Accounting Assistant

E & E Foods is seeking a detail-oriented accounting assistant to join our team in Renton, WA. In this role, you will support key accounting functions across accounts receivable, accounts payable, and customer billing. The ideal candidate is organized, discreet, and thrives in a deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Support sales order processing, including verifying and attaching bills of lading, assigning inventory or lot numbers, and issuing customer invoices in close coordination with the sales team.

Process customer claims and post credit adjustments.

Assist with the customer credit approval process, including gathering application forms and conducting credit reference checks.

Manage collections on overdue invoices and assist with accounts receivable (A/R) reporting.

Post cash receipts accurately and in a timely manner.

Process accounts payable for the Alaska division.

Assist with credit card expense verification and posting.

Contribute to special projects and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

2+ years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience.

Associate's degree in accounting preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience creating pivot tables is a plus.

Accurate and efficient in data entry with strong attention to detail.

Excellent organizational, planning, and time-management skills.

Ability to multi-task, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated understanding of confidentiality and data privacy standards.

Compensation & Work Environment

Starting wage: $22.00$28.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Business casual office environment; work performed on-site.

Standard office physical requirements apply; must be able to lift and move documents up to 25 lbs.
