Position Summary
The Manager, Accounting (Corporate) will oversee assigned corporate entity accounting activities and produce timely and accurate financial statements for assigned corporate entities.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Preparation and review of monthly financial statements and supporting materials for accuracy and reasonableness, consolidation and elimination entries, and reconciliations
- Oversee the Corporate accounting department for corporate business units, including supervision of the daily workflow of the accounting staff, routine and non- routine assignments, and monthly financial statement close process
- Responsible for the management of the external audit process
- Liaison with property management at remote locations as well as various departments within the company
- Responsible for monthly accounting close of various corporate business units, including variance reporting
- Reviews corporate budgets and forecasts; will have responsibility for oversight of corporate portion and Advisor departments budget and related forecasting
- Support corporate management as needed in the process of compiling the quarterly executive books
- Preparation of related party and joint venture partner activity reconciliations and related payments of intercompany balances and distributions
- Assist in review of joint venture documents, loan agreements and waterfall calculation set up and maintenance
- Manage and develop accounting staff
- Consistently demonstrate use of tact and discretion
